The Spectral Dimension of Non-generic Branched Polymer Ensembles

چکیده
We show that the spectral dimension on non-generic branched polymer models with susceptibility exponent γ > 0 is given by ds = 2/(1 + γ). For those models with γ < 0 we find that ds = 2. PACS: 04.60.Nc, 5.20.-y, 5.60.+w

The Spectral Dimension of the Branched Polymer Phase of Two-dimensional Quantum Gravity
The metric of two-dimensional quantum gravity interacting with conformal matter is believed to collapse to a branched polymer metric when the central charge c > 1. We show analytically that the spectral dimension, dS, of such a branched polymer phase is 4 3 . This is in good agreement with numerical simulations for large c. PACS: 04.60.Nc, 5.20.-y, 5.60.+w
متن کاملThe Hausdorff dimension in polymerized quantum gravity
We calculate the Hausdorff dimension, dH , and the correlation function exponent, η, for polymerized two dimensional quantum gravity models. If the nonpolymerized model has correlation function exponent η0 > 3 then dH = γ −1 where γ is the susceptibility exponent. This suggests that these models may be in the same universality class as certain non-generic branched polymer models. PACS: 04.40.K
متن کاملFractal Liquids
We introduce fractal liquids by generalizing classical liquids of integer dimensions d = 1, 2, 3 to a fractal dimension df . The particles composing the liquid are fractal objects and their configuration space is also fractal, with the same non-integer dimension. Realizations of our generic model system include microphase separated binary liquids in porous media, and highly branched liquid drop...
متن کاملThe spectral dimension of non-generic branched polymers
The manifolds in the ensemble of twodimensional quantum gravity have a rich structure which can be characterized in a number of different ways. In particular there are several different quantities which in the case of smooth regular manifolds take the same value and correspond to the usual notion of dimension. When computed for manifolds which are far from regular these quantities, which in fac...
متن کاملThe Weak-Coupling Limit of 3D Simplicial Quantum Gravity
We investigate the weak-coupling limit, κ → ∞, of 3D simplicial gravity using Monte Carlo simulations and a Strong Coupling Expansion. With a suitable modification of the measure we observe a transition from a branched polymer to a crinkled phase. However, the intrinsic geometry of the latter appears similar to that of non-generic branched polymer, probable excluding the existence of a sensible...
